Florida Standard Assessment Information

ATTENTION JAGUARS & PARENTS Please see below for an overview of the direction we are moving in statewide assessments, which assessments will be offered in the upcoming school year, how those assessments will be offered and ways families can support their children in preparation for the new assessments.

Our Annual Survey for parents

We Want to Hear From You! Your input matters to us. Please take a few minutes to participate in our Annual Survey for parents. To access the survey, visit the District's website, browardschools.com, and click on the Annual Survey icon. The survey takes place from January 15 - February 17, 2015, and is your opportunity to share your opinions and ideas about your child's educational experience at Coral Glades High School. To access the survey, you will need your child's student ID number and date of birth. If you do not have your child's student ID number, which is printed on school report cards, or if you do not have internet access at home, please call 754-322-1250 and we will assist you. Thank you in advance for taking the time to participate in this important survey and for partnering with us in your child's education.

Parents: SCHOOL PUBLIC ACCOUNTABILITY REPORT (SPAR)

ATTENTION JAGUARS & PARENTS The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) requires that schools provide parents an annual school status report at the beginning of each school year.

ACT/SAT WORKSHOPS

ATTENTION JAGUARS & PARENTS Need to prepare for the ACT or SAT? PTSO is offering numerous workshops to prepare for the ACT & SAT. Workshops are a great resource to gaining practice and insight about doing well on the SAT & ACT. Click the links below for more details.

SENIOR AGREEMENT

ATTENTION SENIORS & PARENTS Seniors must be satisfactorily progressing towards graduation in order to participate in all senior activities. Progressing towards graduation means maintaining a 2.0 unweighted cumulative G.P.A. while obtaining the 24 credits necessary to graduate. Seniors failing courses necessary for graduation will not graduate with their class and will not be allowed to participate in any senior activity, including but not limited to Grad Bash, Prom, and Graduation ceremonies.

NEW EOC COURSE GRADE CALCULATOR

ATTENTION JAGUARS & PARENTS Attention Students and parents: starting this school year, there is a new formula that is being used to calculate the grade for State EOC courses. State EOC courses include: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Biology, and US History. Rather than students earning two separate semester grades, students will earn ONE final end of the year grade for these courses. Here is the breakdown:

1st Quarter = 15%
2nd Quarter = 15%
Midterm Exam = 10%
3rd Quarter = 15%
4th Quarter = 15%
EOC = 30% (There is no Final Exam for these EOC courses. The EOC will replace the final exam)

To make it easier for you to figure your final grade, Broward Schools created a grade calculator.
