FLORIDA END OF COURSE EXAMS

ATTENTION PARENTS!!! As a result of Senate Bill 4, signed into law effective July 1, 2010, the State of Florida is phasing in a required Algebra I End Of Course (EOC) exam beginning THIS school year. While students in other grades will have to take the EOC exam, the results of the exam will ONLY impact the grades of current 9th grade students who are enrolled in Algebra I. The EOC exam will count 30% of the student's final grade in the course. New State Law Effective May 2011, NO LONGER requires 9th grade students enrolled in a course higher than Algebra I (i.e. Geometry, Algebra 2) to take the EOC exam. In addition, we have been selected to administer the Geometry end of course exam which will begin implementation next school year. Students who are in Geometry will be taking this EOC, however it WILL NOT impact student grades this year. The EOC exams will be administered during the third week of May 2011. For more information regarding EOC exams, please click on the link below.
