Media Center Hours:
The media center will be open Monday through Friday 6:50 AM - 3:20 PM. Scheduled hours for early release days, exam days, and special events will be posted and announced through school-wide bulletins.

Overview
The Media Center is located on the first floor directly across from the main office, at the front of the school. A diversified collection of print and non-print materials are easily accessible to both students and faculty. The print collection of approximately 15,000 volumes includes both circulating and reference items. Digital sources and access to both local and statewide holdings, through Sun Link, are also available. Audio visual materials include a c ollection of over 1000 programs on VHS, DVD, and CD. Advanced technologies, such as interactive Smart Boards and wireless LCD projectors, are available to enhance curriculum instruction. Most equipment is available to be checked out by students for use on school projects while in school.
Philosophy
The Media Center of Coral Glades High School serves as the focal point for information resources and media equipment throughout the school. It is an integral part of the instructional program. Our primary responsibility is to provide the materials and equipment necessary to support and enhance all areas of instruction, to stimulate intellectual growth, and to encourage individual pursuits of knowledge leading to the development of independent, self-paced learners, while simultaneously providing friendly, courteous, and professional service to our patrons. Our collection must meet the varying needs of all learners. An environment in which inquiry, creativity, personal development, and communication of ideas is to be developed and maintained. Further, the Media Center will offer material for the recreational enjoyment of our patrons. In pursuit of the above objectives it is imperative that free and open access is provided to all information for all the members of the Coral Glades High School community.
